July was one of the worst months ever. First my hubby got cellulitis around the eye. We had to go from 1 hospital to another hospital as it was jeopardizing his eye sight. He was admitted and in the hospital for 5-6 days. The doctors said it wasn't contagious. I call bull shit. 2 weeks later I got cellulitis and an infection on my bottom lip and MRSA in my nose. The pain from the cellulitis on my bottom lip was so painful no form of doctor given pain meds helped at all. I told them to forget it and just give me advil and tylenol with ice packs. How I got any of this is beyond me especially MRSA up the nose. At the same time I was in the hospital my daughter was rushed to the hospital as she almost died. I got a text from her husband saying that she was going to the hospital because she accidently broke a window. I was like ok. Than another text saying there is so much blood. So I asked which window, as they live in my old house. All the windows are newer except the back porch door is the original wooden door with an actual piece of regular glass. When he said it was the back door, my heart sank. she lost 1500ml of blood. If she would of lost another 500 ml she would of bled out and died. Even now while I type this I feel like crying. Can you imagine your child almost dying because of goofing around? When the door was shutting she put her hand up to stop it and her hand went through the glass but the door kept closing and the glass kept cutting her arm. She had 2 emergency surgieries as she cut 1 of her arteries ( thank God is wasn't the main one) and muscle, veins and the other surgery was with a plastic surgeon. It's almost September and yes she is still in pain, wearing a splint and sling as doctors tell her to, physical therapy and the staples were removed. She has a long road to recovery. She has tried to work but can't. She can't drive, write or type and she is in sooo much pain. Family is helping them with bills and rides for her and my grandson. The surgeon is saying next year she'll have another surgery on her hand to help mobility. Right now she can't fully move her fingers or wrist and she doesn't have complete feeling in her hand either. Her whole life changed. She applied for Short Term Disabilty ( I helped her) but who knows how long that will take to get approved. The swelling on my bottom lip is almost gone and the swelling around hubbys eye is almost gone too. So yep that was my July. 2 loved ones and myself hospitalized. All recovering but still very much blessed.
